Solana
What is this?
This is is the output of my first Ironsworn campaign, started on June 26, 2021 and finished on February 18, 2022, encompassing 237 days of off-and-on playtime. The vast majority of this is the plain text narration I kept as part of the journal. It was played using the Ironsworn Companion web app.
How is this broken up?
Each page/section generally comprises one "session" when I played at the time. Usually, I'd sit down, open up a new entry in the journal, give it a title (which is why entries usually refer to what happened previously/in the instant and not what actually transpires), then start playing. When I'd step away from the game, or thought it was an appropriate moment in pacing, I'd fire up a new entry. Entries range from very long to only a couple paragraphs, depending on what I was doing both in-game and in real life at the time.
In a purely retrospective manner, I've grouped up the individual entries into story arcs. The Table of Contents below will, eventually, label those arcs appropriately.
Where are the rolls? What are your stats at a given point?
At the time, I didn't bother recording what I rolled or when. Now that it's 4 years later, most of what I've rolled when is forgotten, much less what the outcomes of them were. That makes this more of a novel than an actual play, I suppose, but I provide what memories I can in the commentary when I'm able.
Solana's default stats, for what it's worth, were 3 Heart, 2 Iron, 2 Edge, 1 Shadow, 1 Wits. She started with Brawler, Honor-Bound, and Outcast for assets.
Commentary?
Each entry has two different commentary summaries. One is localized, in-the-moment commentary about the entry itself and what's happened previously. The other is a fuller-scope perspective with the full story in mind. Hopefully this will give reading things a bit of replay value.
